Dr. Groga is an econometrician who quantifies and rebuts damages claims in commercial litigation and arbitration. Across more than 20 matters in state and federal courts, he has built damages models, challenged opposing damages expert methodologies, and advised trial counsel in real time through depositions and cross-examination. His work has reduced claimed damages, supported successful Daubert motions, and shaped settlement strategy.

 

His work focuses primarily on matters involving financial securities, oil and gas, and intellectual property.

 

Dr. Groga is an Economic Consultant at Applied Economics Consulting Group. He previously worked at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and served as a lecturer in Econometrics and Quantitative Methods at the University of Toronto. He holds a Ph.D. in Econometrics from the University of Toronto and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Economics from McGill University.
